Auditions This Weekend for “The Man of La Mancha”
The Ojai Art Center Theater and director Marty Babayco announce auditions for Man of La Mancha, the fourth production of the 2018 Ojai Arts Center Theater season. Man of La Mancha is Babayco’s third collaboration with actor Scott White and the first with Ojai Art Center Theater (in conjunction with Ojai Performing Arts Theater).
Auditions will be held in the Sonshine Room of the Ojai Presbyterian Church, 304 N. Foothill Road in Ojai Thursday, May 17 and Friday, May 18 from 6:30pm to 9:30pm and Saturday, 11:00am to 4:00pm with callbacks also at the Church on Monday, May 20 at 6:30pm.
Rehearsals begin July 28 through September 7. Performances are on the Art Center stage beginning September 7 through October 8; Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2:00pm.
For Auditions:
Actors are asked to bring a resume and a head shot to the auditions. Please prepare 16 bars of a Broadway song that is NOT from the show. Piano player provided. Sides will be provided. Please familiarize yourself with the play. Although this is an open call, you may contact the director for questions at mbabayco@gmail.com.

About the Director:
MARTY BABAYCO has directed 26 musicals for the Nordhoff High School Music Department and directed 2 musicals for Ojai Performing Arts Theater, She Loves Me and I Do! I Do!. Directorial credits include West Side Story, South Pacific, Reunions (World Premier), Beauty and the Beast, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Music Man, Pirates Of Penzance, The Pajama Game, Anything Goes, Oklahoma, Annie Get Your Gun, Into The Woods, Fiddler On The Roof, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Forum, and Damn Yankees. Principal roles on stage include Never Too Late, Little Shop of Horrors, Beggars! The Musical (World Premier), Oliver!, Guys and Dolls, Man of La Mancha, Sound of Music, Annie, and Camelot. M
