The band, Pacific Sunsets, was formed in Nashville, TN by brothers Franco Alva and Cesar Alva. The two found themselves recording their first single, summer only, at coma studios in Long Beach, CA with the help of former drummer of the Growlers, Scott Montoya.
Long time friend, Samuel Macri, later joined the band as the lead guitarist and completed the lineup. The band released their debut ep titled “Sur” in the Spring 2022.
During the recording and release of Sur, the band continued evolving and writing. In the summer of 2022, they decided to travel in time and go back to their roots… South America. They recorded their first album at Desmantelado Studios in Lima, Peru with Richard Angeles of the band Mundaka, who produced and engineered the record. The band’s intention with this record is to promote healing; to challenge the audience to keep moving on by connecting their souls with abstract art, the band creates a vortex of emotions that take its listeners from the valley of Ojai, California, to the mystical deserts of Peru.
