The Euterpe Farms 2023 Concert Season is officially in swing!
For our first show, we invite Alan Thornhill with Martin Young to dazzle you with their signature and legendary music.
Alan Thornhill and Martin Young are two lifelong friends who share their love for guitar and music. They met at 19 and have been writing and recording music ever since. They have performed many times together over the years for the enjoyment of thousands of people. Their music is a rare documentation of musical jewels and an evening with them is like nothing else.
Thornhill’s talent as a guitarist and singer has earned him recognition and praise from his peers and audiences worldwide. He is a winner of the prestigious Telluride Fingerstyle Guitar Championship and has lent his unique sound to recordings by Kate Wolfe, Chris Hillman, Hoyt Axton, and others.
Alan Thornhill’s most recent album, “Guitarpenter’s Dream,” showcases his signature guitar style featuring eleven original instrumental pieces. The record was recorded in his home creating a cozy atmosphere from start to finish. It earned a nomination for Instrumental Album of the Year at the 2008 Mavric Music Awards.
Music starts promptly at 6 pm, so don’t be late we will have an excellent trio opening the event. Jodi Farrell, Kerri Climer, and Monte Montgomery will get the party started with their original harmonic arrangements of popular artists like Norah Jones, Joni Mitchell, and Bonnie Raitt. The approximate address is 587 Rice Rd. For the future, we will have a concert on the second Tuesday of each month, April – October.
You can bring your own food but you would miss out on some fantastic Ukrainian home cooking. Vlada and Natasha will be catering the event so don’t be afraid to come a little hungry.
