Children’s Health and Wellness Expo
The expo is taking place on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Camp Arnaz, and it aims to promote children’s health and wellness through a variety of fun activities and local vendors.
This event will offer a self-toured walk-through experience with live demonstrations that cover important topics such as mental health and emergency preparedness. Attendees can expect to see demonstrations by the Police-K9 and Search and Rescue K-9, as well as a visit with the Fire Safe Goats. The event will also feature a Girl Scout Recruitment booth, inviting everyone to explore what Girl Scouts has to offer. Additionally, Girl Scouts who attend the event will earn their GSCCC Mental Health Patch and their Resilient.Ready.Strong. Patch.
The expo will host a variety of local vendors, including Autism Society Ventura County, Ventura County Healthcare, Foster Bears, Diversity Collective, Ojai Recreation, among others. Attendees can participate in activities promoting health and wellness, such as nutrition, anti-bullying, self-care, internet safety, arts and crafts, face painting, meet the horses at camp, field games, and touch-a-truck.
As an organization, GSCCC prioritizes mental health, emergency preparedness, and overall wellness. They aim to prepare girls to be ready for anything that comes their way.
