Former FBI and DOJ Special Agent Kenneth Strange will visit the Ojai Library at 2pm on Saturday, October 14, 2023, to talk about his newest book, A Cop’s Son: One G-Man’s Fight Against Jihad, Global Fraud and the Cartels.
In A Cop’s Son, Strange transports the reader behind fortress-like doors into the secret world of terrorists, financial predators, and sicarios. Strange served with three distinct and distinguished U.S. government agencies pursuing criminals and bad actors, including some of the most heinous criminals on the planet. His service to those agencies brought him into direct conflict with Jihadists, International Fraudsters, and the Cartels. What sets this book apart from any other in the law enforcement genre are not only the true crime investigative stories accrued over a remarkable career or the posthumous homage paid to his father’s storied 38-year NYPD career, but the fact that few federal agents could cobble together such fascinating and diverse investigations across the globe.
Special Agent Strange doesn’t hold back in his raw and honest portrayal of being part of a high profile, “HIGH OCTANE,” FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) known as C-10, an elite overseas fraud unit with the State Department, and as supervisor of a DOJ OIG Internal Affairs group on the Southwest Border. Kenneth Strange is currently a federal contract investigator and award-winning author. A native New Yorker, he has almost 40 years of investigative experience in both the public and private sectors and has traveled to 65 countries. A Spanish-speaker and Arabist, he is also the author of the award-winning travel adventure book It’s Your Camino: One Couple’s 500-Mile Pilgrimage Across Spain.
