Ruben Lee Dalton, born and raised in Southern California, currently lives on a ranch in Santa Barbara North County where he writes poetry and music when he’s not fending off gophers attacking his garden and Red Tail hawks trying to snack on his not so pleasant Chihuahua. Ruben, aka, Bruce Lee Schmidt, lived (and raised his children) in Ojai prior to moving to Santa Barbara. He has been writing poetry since returning from his wartime experience in Viet Nam, and has recently had his first book of poetry published by Solo Press.
