Make a colorful gourd birdhouse just in time for spring nesting and attract feathered friends to your yard! Local gourd artist Linda Steis will lead the workshop March 11 from 1-3 p.m. at Poppies Art and Gifts. Participants will meet on the store’s back patio at 323 E. Matilija St., Ojai.

Cost is $55 which includes a large precut gourd, hanging string, acrylic paint, and brushes. Class is limited to eight students so sign up now at Poppies or online at poppiesartandgifts.com.
