An Immersion of Sound
Saturday APRIL 15TH
Do you remember when music was known for its healing abilities?
For decades music was known to have a frequency that actually brought healing to our bodies. The lowest recognized solfeggio frequency is 174 Hz, also known as the healing frequency. It has the greatest impact on the body and physical health, rather than spiritual or mental health. Music has since changed the frequency in which it is created. With this modern day disconnect from “healing music” is it any wonder more and more people are becoming aware of sound healing also known as sound baths? Sound baths are becoming increasingly popular with many people now also seeking to learn this healing modality.
A sound bath can promote the following benefits:
Reduced stress.
* Fewer mood swings.
* Lower blood pressure.
* Lower cholesterol levels.
* Better pain management.
* Reduced risk of strokes and coronary artery disease.
* Improved sleep.
As somebody who used to struggle to quiet their mind I can attest that attending a regular sound bath brings a deep sense of relaxation and peace, very often resulting in complete stillness and a sense of calm to my mind.
Sound baths can be a very personal experience even in a group setting. As you lay comfortably, cocooned in the various frequencies, energetic shifts can be felt throughout your body, sometimes resulting in tingles running through your body. I find that the deeper I breathe into the frequencies the greater effect they have and the easier it becomes for me to drift away into a state of deep peace.
If you have been intrigued to play singing bowls, or to know more about the many various bowls and their differing frequencies or have been thinking about attending a sound bath this Saturday is for you!
Saturday, April 15th, we are offering a double bill of sound. A singing bowl workshop at 2pm followed by a sound bath at 5.15pm.
