Ribbon Cutting at the Ojai Valley Museum

The Ojai Valley Museum and the City of Ojai Arts Commission would like to invite the public to the celebration of the new museum gates Saturday, December 15 at 11:00 a.m.

The gates are the result of a joint effort to add beauty and security to the historic building. They were created by local artist Doug Lochner of hand-forged steel and designed to echo the original design of the Museum.

“The design and execution meant working in concert with the artist and several Ojai Commissions,” said Wendy Barker, Ojai Valley Museum Director. “The project involved the input, approval, and financial support of the City’s Arts Commission and public art program along with approval from its Historic Preservation Commission. It was a long and winding road but we now have an extraordinary project to celebrate.”

Come join the celebration for remarks, ribbon cutting, and refreshments in the Museum’s front courtyard, 130 W. Ojai Ave.
