For the past five years The Ojai Art Center has sponsored  The Great Art Theft, Where Great Art is a Steal;  an event to raise funds for refurbishing the gallery.

Local artists have donated pieces to be on display starting April 7. For the next month, come view the art, pick your favorite(s) and by a ticket.  For the mere price of $75, you can own an original piece of art donated by these artists (art valued at much more than the price of a ticket.) When you buy a ticket, your name is put in a basket and drawn one by one at the gala on Sunday, April 29. As your name is called you choose your favorite piece.

The party starts at 1 p.m. and goes until 4 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at the Art Center.  12 to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.  Appetizers and refreshments will be served.
